The chart below shows the percentage change in the share of international students among university graduates in different Canadian provinces between 2001 and 2006.
The chart represents the proportion of international graduates from eight different Canadian universities from 2001 to 2006.
Overall, the international graduates percentage increased over five years. In particular, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, and British Columbia rose the most in international graduates.
In 2001, about 8% of international students graduated from New Brunswick. Nova Scotia had the second highest proportion of 7%, followed by Quebec of 6%. Meanwhile, the rest of universities recorded at below 5% of international graduates in 2001.
The precentage of international graduates increased the most was British Columbia which was around 4% in 2001 and rose to over 10% by 2006. Relatively, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia remained with the highest international graduates of about 12% and 11% respectively, whereas the rest of universities rose to over 5% in 2006.
