The line chart compares the cost of 800 grams of four types of breads in a particular European nation over half of a decade between 2001 and 2006.
Overall, the price of Wholegrain stayed unchanged over the period while there were considerable upward trends for the other breed brands. Another interesting point is that those three brands had the same beginning point in 2001.
Looking at details, the residents spent 0.8 euros for Wholegrain and 0.6 euros for each other brands. In the next year, this figure has doubled for Wholegrain, at 1.8 euros and increased dramatically for Brown and White by nearly 0.9 euros and 0,4 euros, respectively. By contrast, Rye bread witnessed a minor fall to 0.5 euros at the same time.
Over the rest of period given, the expenditure people spend on White and Rye bread have improved annually, reached 1.3 euros and 0.7 euros in turn. Meanwhile, after reached a peak at 2002 the price of Wholegrain bread dropped enormously then returned the initial point at the end of period. On the other hand, since this figure for Brown bread had surpassed other brands, ranked the first place since 2003, however, this price just fluctuated between 1.4 and ad 1.6 euros throughout the period.
