The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three catagories, from 1995-2002
Depicted by the chart is the information about how long (in billions minute) different kinds of telephone calls, local, national, and mobiles, are made by people living in the UK over 7-year period since 1995.
Overall, it is apperant that while the general trend for mobile and national and international calls showed a sligth increase, the figure for local calls increased than decreased during the period.
By 1995, the number of local calls stood at just over 70, which is the highest figure shown. Likewise, the figure, reached a peak at 90 (1999), before ,eventually, decreasing slightly by around 18 at the end of period.
The level of national and international and mobiles calls, on the other hand, had a similar pattern during the timeline. For the former, the number rose gradually, climbing from just under 40 in 1995 to just above 60 by 2002. Meanwhile, for the letter, the level showed ninefold growth, from around 5 (1995) to approximately 45 (2002) to be specific.
