The bar chart compares and contrasts data on the changes in the amount of four type of waste materials namely: paper, glass, tins and garden in a five-year period of time from 2011 to 2015, measured in tons of waste.
A closer look at the diagram highlights the fact that the amount of paper and glass collected was far higher than that of the others in this period of time.
More specifically, this period showed that paper waste was the most common out the other three with a notable exception of glass waste with the highest figure of 48 tons in 2013. This figure, however, was less than roughly 2% compared to that of paper in 2012. 2012 witnessed an overall drop of the four contributors, while the amount of tins experienced a slight fall of 8 tons, that of garden decreased drastically to half of the initial one. In the next three years, moreover, these figures experienced an upward trend and reached their peaks at 70 tons and 52 tons for paper and glass respectively.
