The bar chart illustrates the information regarding the discovered amount of oil on the global scale between 1950 to 2020.
Generally, the amount of oil exploited in the first decade rise dramatically and reached a peak in 1965 before experiencing a downward trend.
Particularly, 20 billion barrels of oil was recorded to be discovered in 1950, and that amount continued to grow over years. it was not until 1965 that the figure reached a peak at 58 billion barrels of oil exploited in that year. In the preceded ten years, the figure dropped to just under 40 billion barrels after measuring at 35 billion barrels in 1970. From 1980, the amount fluctuated seriously every five years. There was 20 billion barrels was discovered in 1990, prior to the decrease by around 5 billion barrels in next ten years. The figure stayed at approximately 5 billion barrels in 2010, but it is predicted to be declined to less than that amount in 2020.
