Write a report for a university, lecturer describing the information shown below.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
A histogram has been presented which illustrates the British Emigration to 5 destinations, namely Australia, Spain, New Zealand, USA and France, for a span of 4 years, starting from 2004.
In the years 2004 and 2005, close to 40,000 Britishers emigrated to Australia, which was the highest, followed by Spain at approximately 30,000. New Zealand, USA and France attracted very similar number of British citizens in 2004, which was between 20,000 and 25,000. However, in 2005, France took this contest by storm as the emigration there skyrocketed to more than 30,000, while it dipped below 20,000 in USA, with the statistics in New Zealand staying fairly unchanged over that year.
By 2006, the British influx in Australia grew more than 50,000, only to drop below 45,000 the next year. Spain saw a constant decrease with the numbers dropping below 30,000 by the year 2007. Same was the case in New Zealand and France, where the former dropped to 20,000 and the latter below the same mark by 2007. USA saw a spike in 2006 attracting close to 25,000 Britishers but it again decreased and reached close to 20,000 in the year 2007.
All in all, it is clearly visible that New Zealand and Spain have been the clear leaders of the lot, while the rest of the 3 countries followed.
