The bar chart demonstrates the percentage of British people interested in six different types of sports over three years: 1995, 2000 and 2005.

A glance at the given chart reveals that walking was the favorite sport of the largest number of people. It is also clear that while the proportion of people who like walking, swimming and rugby increased through the period shown, that of people who like playing snooker, tennis and golf showed the opposite trend.

First, the highest figure in 1995 was recorded in the number of people who interested on jogging, which is over 40%. It was then rose gradually by 2% every 5 years from 1995 to 2005. The percentage of swimming lovers increase significantly reach a peak of nearly thirty percent before Falling by two percent in two thousand and five. Meanwhile, the proportion of rugby players underwent a slight increase of about 3%.

It is also interesting that the figure for Snooker and tennis players both experiences a considerable decline of 8% and 6% respectively. The percentage of golf players was the most humble data which was only around 17% in 1995 climbed marginally by 1% between 2000 and 2005 after going down to 15% in 2005.
