It is clear that in 1971, the number of households that did not have car made up for the highest percent, at nearly a half of British inhabitants, followed by who had one car, at 45%. However, while the percentage of families who had no car fell sharply by 25%, the line of who owned one car stayed stable throughout the given period except some mild fluctuation.
The proportions of households who had two cars or more is insignificant, both are under 10% in 1971. Despite this fact, the given data of these shows an upward trend. The ratio of who had three cars or more suffered from a slightly climb by 3% whereas the number of families who had two cars rose considerably and reach the peak of over 25% in 2007.
