The charts give information of four major reasons for usage of phones by teenagers in a nation in Africa from 2016 to 2019.
It is clear that most respondents said they used their phones for social networking, email and digital camera were used significantly less than social networking, and phone calls were the least popular purpose.
This African country's teenagers made use of their phone mostly for keeping in touch on social networking sites and this trend grew stronger toward the end of the 4-year period. In detail, in 2016 half of them utilized their phones to socialized on the Internet, and despite a mild drop of 2%, this number had reached 56% by 2019.
Email and digital camera had the opposite trends because in 2016 it was 25% for the former and 15% for the latter. However, by the end of the period email had witnessed a decline of 6% while use of digital cameras had increased by 5%. Lastly, the reason of making phone calls started in 2016 with 10% and had halved that figure by 2019.
