The charts represent the age of population changes in Yemen and Italy in 2000 and its prediction for 2050.
Overall, there were more young people in Yemen compared to Italy, which population had largely proportioned to senior groups. It is interesting to note that the young populations are expected to decline and the proportion of older groups are predicted to increase for both countries by 2050.
In terms of Yemen's, the majority of population was recorded for under 60 years of citizens. From 2000 to 2050, the younger aged population will be decreased from the half of Yemen's population of 50.1% to 37.0%, whereas the age of 15 to 60 years of population will be increased drastically. Especially those above 60 years of people is expected to rise in its population proportion from 3.6% to 5.7% in five decades while 46.3% to 57.3% for 15-59 years of Yemen citizens in the same year.
Meanwhile, Italy also showed a similar trend as those of Yemen's; the reduction in younger groups' proportion and the incremental trends for older generations. In 2000, more than half of population (61.6%_ was dedicated to 15-59 years of Italian, followed by over 60 years of people recorded at 24.1% and the lowest population was the youngest group (0-14 years) of 14.3%. This proportion is predicted to increase; the highest increase will be over 60's population of 42.3% whereas the other two generations will be decreased to 46.2% for 15-59 years and 11.5% for 0-14 years.
