Overall, there was an upward trend in the average number of beds used in the hospitals, and the percentage of hospital budget allocated to in-patient care experienced a small decrease.
In 1997, the average number of beds using in chinese was 70, increasing slowly from just below 80 in 1998 to about 90 in 2005, and finishing at above 90 in 2006. Meanwhile, on average, 60 beds were utilized in ukrainian in 1997, and it saw a minimal grew from 60 to 65 in the period of 1998 to 2002, then levelled off at around 70 in next following three years. In contrast, the lowest average number of bed applied was in France hospital, it stood at 40 in the first year, climbing to about 67 in 2005 before stepping down to about 47 in 2006.
Moving to pie charts, in 2002, approximately two-thirds of the hospital budget was allocated to other costs, while in-patient care was 35%. However, in the following 4 years, the proportion of the other cost picked up by 8%, and in-patient care dropped to about 27%.
