the charts below show the information about land use in four countries
The pie chart illustrates the comparison between four countries: Portugal, New Zealand, Canada, and Norway, in terms of the statistics of land use for three different categories: Arable land, pasture land, non-agricultural land. Overall, it is clear that most of the land in these countries is non-agriculture. Also, except for New Zealand, the arable land in other countries is larger than the pasture land.
To begin with, the data indicates that land use by non-agricultural accounts for 96% and 93% in Norway and Canada, respectively. Portugal followed with 57%, and finally New Zealand with 51%. By contrast, the percentage of pasture land in New Zealand is the highest, at approximately 50%. It can be noticeable that New Zealand's land use for non-agricultural purposes is nearly equal to the pasture sector.
Meanwhile, land use for arable purposes is just 10% in each of the three countries, namely Canada, Norway, and New Zealand, with Canada at 2% and Norway at 1%. While 34% of the total land is used for arable purposes in Portugal, the proportion of this purpose in New Zealand is equal to Norway's, at about 1%.
