The two maps below illustrate the evolution of Bell Hill Environment Center from Bell HIIL farm over the period of 30 years starting in 1976.
Overall, the layout of this location in 1976 was quite the same as the one in 2006. However, there has been some massive modernization in the infrastructure of this place, with almost all the previous farms being converted into an environmental center.
In 1976, there was a crossroad that divided Bell Hill Farm into two different areas, and this was not demolished and remained unchanged in 2006. On the upper left-hand side of the road, in 2006, the storage for farm machinery was renovated into a car parking area. At the same time, on the main territory in the east of the center, the previous farmyard was replaced by a recreational area.
Furthermore, the bam where some plants contain starches, such as corn, was stored in 1976, demolished, and constructed into a multimedia room in 2006. On the south side of the center, the farmhouse was not altered at all, while the cow-sheds and poultry territory on the right side of the center, opposite the zone that accommodates three entertainment locations, were converted into student housing throughout the period given.
