The charts below show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they receive from employers.

The bar diagrams give information about the principal purpose of education among students at different ages, and how much support they receive in terms of day off or financial assistance from their employers.

Overall, it is clear that the main reason for study among younger students, is to build a career, whereas, older students are more inclined towards studying for their own interest. However, there is an extraordinary trend observed in terms of employer support for education. They tend to support younger as well as elder employees more than those who fall under middle age groups.

To begin with, 80% of students under 26 years of age study to develop a career for themselves. This trend of career-oriented education declines as the age progresses, and less than 20% of students over 49 years of age study for career progression. In contrast, only 10% of young students under 26 years of age educate themselves out of personal interest. But this interest grows as the age increases, to the extent that nearly 70% of students, who are older than 49 years, study for their own interest.

Furthermore, in terms of employer facilitation, maximum benefit is received by people under 26 years of age. This favour declines as the age progresses and hits the lowest point of 34% for 30-39-year age group. After this, there is a gradual inclination in this support for 40-49-year group, and it further increases to about 44% for people over 49 years of age.
