Essay topics:

The charts below show the most popular films by genre for men and women and general ticket sales for different types of films in the USA in 2010.

The bar graph compares the rate of choices between men and women for the most popular films via seven categories in 2010 while the pie chart depicts the expenditure for distinct means of films in the USA in the same period.
As can be seen, there was a noticeable correlation between the choices of generation and the ticket sales.
To be more specific, commencing at 40 units, the percentage of action film choosing by men, which was the highest in the graph, doubled that of women, and a similar pattern can be seen at thriller and science fiction. Conversely, romantic comedy shows that the proportion of women was remarkably higher than that of men, which was merely at 5 units. It is clear that the rate of women was equal to that of men in comedy and western.
Regard the pie chart, the percentage of the expenditure for action film was the highest at half of the ticket sales, followed by the figure for comedy at roughly a quarter. Other film just accounted for a minority proportion, especially 12 percent for romantic comedy and 10 percent for horror films. Finally, the proportion of other films was the lowest at merely 5 percent.
