The four bar diagrams illustrate and compare the data on the percentage of workers spending hours at the workplace per week in France, Denmark, Sweden, and the UK in 2002. Overall, it can be observed that the maximum staff in Denmark, Sweden, and the UK worked 36-40 hours in a week whereas it is 31-35 hours in France.
Examining the dataset of four countries in more detail, it is clear that in France, half of the workers worked 31-35 hours per week. The percentages of those who worked 36-40 and 46-50 hours is 36% and 20% respectively the rest of the working hours accounted for around 10% of staff.
In Denmark, the percentage of workers worked for 36-40 hours is 70%. The rest of the working hours other than 35-40 are worked by 10% of employees.
In Sweden, 80% of total workers spent 36-40 hours which is the highest among all countries in 2002. Approximately 38% and 35% of staff worked for 31-35 and 41-45 hours respectively. For the UK, half of the total industrial employees worked for 36-40 hours while the 20% or less the worker spent the rest of the times.
