The diagram provides information on the proportion of water use in three different sectors in six different regions of the world. Overall, there are two regions where water is spent the most in agriculture and industry, while the lowest part of water use is used for domestic purposes.
Moving on to the details, three regions use most of the water in agriculture (Central asia, africa, and Southeast asia), it accounts for more than 80% of the total. Following which is south africa, where water uses up to 71% in the sector. The remaining regions (north africa and europe) share a similar percentage of water expenditure in the agriculture sector (around a-third).
Europe is a region that is observed using the highest percentage of water (53%) in the industrial sector. It is followed by north america with 48%. Other regions share a minor proportion. In addition, two areas provide the highest percentage of water for household usage (south america and europe), 19% and 15%, respectively. Finally, four other regions use water in this sector as a minority purpose.
