Essay topics:

The charts below show reasons for travel and the main issues for the traveling public in the US in 2009.

The given bar chart below depicts why US residents travel, while another chart gives information about the six problems that travelers would experience in 2009.

Overall, it is obvious that the main reason for travel was to and from work, while the figure for visiting friends or relatives was the lowest during the period. Regarding the pie chart, the price of travel became the largest issue for the travelling public, whereas the problem of pedestrian spaces was not negligible in 2009.

49% of travelers in the survey travel in search of work, followed by personal reasons (19%) . At the same time, the percentage of people shopping was about 16%, which was more than twice as many as that of those who chose to visit friends and relatives (6%). Only 10% of tourists enjoyed traveling as social and recreational activities.

With regard to problems, it is clear that the percentage of US residents who had an issue with travel costs was about 36%, which was about six times that of space for pedestrians. Meanwhile, 19% of people had trouble with safety concerns, followed by aggressive drivers (17%), highway congestion (14%). Other problems include access to public transport, at 8%
