The line charts in question report the total number of applicants the year before and the year after Doolittle University’s social media advertising campaign, organized by age range (18 to 40 + ) and how close the applicants live to the university.
The first bar graph diagram accounts for the applicants who live within a maximum 100 km of the university. According to the bar chart, maximum number of applicants of the college are between 18 and 22 which is nearly 380 and this number has risen meagerly to 390 after social media ads. For all other categories of prospective student a general trend of a rise in applications was observed after advertising , out of which 40+ aged group saw a jump in growth in quantity of admission forms from 10 to nearly 50.
As reported by the second graph ,for the case of applicants who live beyond 100 km away from campus , social media ads did see a dramatic rise in the sum total of applications from 170 to 320 for the 18-22 aged people. The admission forms submitted by people of 23-29 , 30-39 and 40+ remained constant, decreased and increased slightly after advertisements.
