Overall, it is clear that almost water was allocated for the food industry in the period shown, despite the slight decline. In addition, while sectors relating to service and housing witnessed various levels of increase, the remaining categories experienced the opposite trend.
Turning into detail, in 1997, Food products utilized 48% of total water usage while this figure for the building industry accounted for only 5%. Ten years later, in 2007, there was a slight decrease in both industries, resulted in the number at 41% and just 2% respectively.
