The pie chart indicates the amount of various nutrient intake of an average person in the USA in the form of their daily meal and snacks. At the same time, It might be unhealthy if consumed in excess proportion.
Overall, It can be seen that there are mainly three types of nutrients Sodium, Saturated fat, and added sugar.
Firstly, looking at the consumption of sodium, during lunchtime people intake the largest quantity at 41%. Further, at the time of breakfast and snacks, people generally eat the least quantity and that is why the sodium consumption is also low at 14%. Whereas, 29% of sodium is added while having lunch. Secondly, the same scenario is with saturated fat, dinner is the prime source of fat intake with 37%; after that, lunch is the second major source of saturated fats standing out at 26% followed by breakfast i.e 21% respectively. Last but not least, fat consumption is low with breakfast at just 16%.
On the other hand, added sugar is also the major source of illness when eaten in excess quantity. Surprisingly, a significant amount of added sugar is consumed at the time of snacks as the data shows more than 40%. The second most occasion of fat intake is during dinner time with 23%. Lastly, breakfast and lunch numbers stand below 20% with respect to saturated fats.
