The charts below show what UK graduate and postgraduate students who did not go into full-time work did after leaving college in 2008.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The provided chats illustrate the number of graduate and postgraduate students in the UK who chose to commit to other options: part-timing, voluntary, study or unemployment, rather than starting a full-time job life after graduating from college in 2008.
According to the first bar graph, most of the graduates, 29665 to be exact from the 30,000 fresh degree holders, decided to divulge into higher education in 2008 whereas only 3500 learners pursued voluntary works. Almost equal number of graduates opted for either part-timing (17,735) or remaining jobless (16,235).
On the other hand, a dramatic change can be noticed in the post-graduates decision about their careers. From the 3000 post-graduates, nearly all suited themselves either for studying more or working part-time, 2,725 and 2,535 respectively. While merely 345 people began working for free, 1625 of the scholars decided to to be unemployed.
Over all, it is evident that learners were more willing to stay without jobs rather than seeking to work without payment. Most students wanted to flourish their academia by studying further although some wanted to pay bills by working part-time.
