The given line graph illustrates the information about the reason of travel along with the distance traveled by the people. Whereas, pie charts depict the proportion of preferred mode of transportation in Britain for the period of 20 years
As it is presented in the line graph that, above 6000 kilometers were traveled for the transport and delivery in 1990, which shoot up and peaked at 8000 kilometers in next five years. However, in 2010, it witnessed a steep fall of 2000 kilometers. Likewise, commuters traveled 3000 kilometers in initial year, yet even after experiencing a marked rise in the mid of the period it fell to its previous figure in 2010. Whereas, the least distance was traveled for the personal reason and that too remained almost 2000 kilometers throughout the period.
According to pie chart, although cars were the most preferred mode of transportation during the period given, experiencing a significant fall of 5% and reached at 59% in 2010. However, a completely opposite trend was seen in case of truck, as it was one- fourth in 1990 before hitting a tremendous rise of 5% in later period. Next, buses and motorcycle fell by 1%, while other vehicles rose by 1% in 2010.
Overall, it is explicitly seen that, the major purpose of commute was trasport/ delivery, whereas cars were used the most to move from one place to another throughout the period.
