The four presented pie chart gives data about the changes in terms of proportion of three different sectors about how people worked in Town A and Town B over a period of 50 years, between 1960 and 2010.
A glance at the charts reveals that the percentage of manufacturing in both towns has an upward tendency in 2010 compared with 1960 while there was a decline of the proportion of people working in sales over the same period.
In Town A, sales made up the biggest part of the chart in 1960 with 41%, however, fell and stood at exactly 20% in 2010. Similarly, people working in services occupied 30% at the beginning and also went down to 16% at the end of the period. By contrast, manufacturing was the smallest segment in 1960 but then surpassed others and attracted the highest proportion of workers which was 64% by 2010.
Turning to Town B, sales saw a decline in the number of people but it was still the most significant part of the distribution of employment in 1960 and 2010. On the contrary, manufacturing and services had a ceiling trend when it came from 10% and 20% then went up to 25% and 22% within fifty years.
