The charts illustrate the electricity production in four countries, namely India, Sweden, Morocco, Vietnam from 2003 to 2008.
Overall, Vietnam and India relied heavily on fossil fuel to produce electricity while Morocco and Sweden were dependent on hydro power. It is also noticeable that Vietnam and Morocco did not use nuclear power for electricity production.
It can be seen that India was the highest country manufactured electricity from fossil fuel. The proportion of electricity produced from fossil fuel in India far exceeded that of Vietnam, with respective figures being 82% and 56%. On the other hand, the shares of electricity made from fossil fuel in Sweden and Morocco were extremely low, which was only 4% and 5% in that order.
Besides, the percentage of electricity produced from hydro power in Morocco was recorded to be the highest (at 95%), followed by Sweden with more than a half. The figure for Vietnam was at 44% while the lowest was India only accounted for 14%. A significant difference can be seen when we look at the percentage of electricity from nuclear power in Sweden and that of India, which was 44% and 4% in that order. Moreover, nuclear power was not utilized in Vietnam and Morocco.
