Chorleywood is a village near London whose population has increased steadily since the middle of the nineteenth century. The map below shows the development of the village.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the development of the village.
The following map illustrates various developments that occurred in Chorleywood village near London city during 1968 till 1994.
As can be clearly observed from the map, Chorleywood experienced many different improvements, the most significant of which took place in the east of the village where a roundabout was constructed. At the north of the roundabout, there were huge constructions which appeared between 1970 and 1994. Likewise, at the south of the roundabout, three distinctive regions have been built during the same period.
Turning to the western part of the village, at the southwest corner, two different residential areas, which dated back to 1922 till 1970, were observable. These areas were placed around the railway, which was built at 1909, although between these two areas there was a far newer region of 1970 to 1994. This newer area contains Chorleywood Station. Meanwhile, the oldest section of the village was located at rather central vicinity while on the right hand of this part, there were Chorleywood park as well as Golf course. The oldest section was constructed at period of 186 to 1883.
Overall, it is clear from the map that, the village witnessed enormous developments due to increasing population. Unlike the fact that village’s main roads were constructed during 1963 to 1883, the motorway was added to the village at 1970 in the eastern part.
