The diagram below shows the development of cutting tools in the Stone Age. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given picture illustrates the evolution over 600,00 years of devices which were used for cutting in the Stone Age.
Overall, after 0.6 million years, it has witnessed a significant improvement of cutting tools with the robustion. Another noticeable point is that the item which was found nearby is more functional than the other one.
Regarding the tool A in the diagram, the tool which was found around 1.4 million years ago is small, and the statistics show that the length of this tool is around 8 centimeters. It is true to say that this item is rudimentary because of the uneven surface combined with the dull edge that it has.
Turning into the tool B which was found 0.8 years ago is bigger than the other one with the length of around 10 centimeters, the shape of this tool is more apparent than that one mentioned in the diagram. Initially, it is witnessed a change from an undefinable shape into a teardrop-shape tool, which is rounded base and a pointy tip in the end. It is also considered a highly symmetrical tool than that one in the past, with the edge more sharpened. Moreover, the way that people refined this tool also allowed it to become more smooth than the other one.
