The given diagram outlines the different stage of generating electricity in hydroelectric power station.
To begin with, river water is collected in the Dam for water pressure to produce electricity. Then the water is released via a pipe section and towards generator which is placed in Power Station. Once the water flow hits the generator turbine, electricity is produced and sent into National grid with the help of power line. This all process happens during day time.
In this process, the used water is stored in to the lower-level reservoir. And in the night time, the reservoir water is pumped and sent in to the high dam which will be stored again and used to generate power for next day. Due to reversible turbines, electricity is also produced in night time too which again goes to National grid with the help of power line.
Overall, the diagram illustrates the process of creating electricity, which start from reserving water in high level dam and end with the supply of power to national grid.
