The illustration depicts how the heat under the ground is utilized to generate electricity in a specific geothermal power plant. Overall, there are five phases of electricity generation: cold water is pumped into the ground, heated up, pumped to the surface, converting it to steam, and spinning the turbine to generate energy.

In the first step, Cold water stored in the container is pumped down to 4.5 kilometers in the earth’s womb. After being pumped to the bottom, the injection well starts to push water through the geothermal zone in which hot rocks heat up cold water. Before being sent to the condenser, hot water has to pass the production well which pumps heated water up to the upper land and is converted under the form of steam. In the last phase, Steam runs via the turbine blades and forces them to rotate to create kinetic energy that stimulates the generator to make a prevalent power called electricity. After that, electricity is manufactured for power grids and connected to thousands of households.
