The given picture provides us information about a life form of a salmon, starting from reproducing and ending with a grown fish. Overall, the process is complex, including several steps, which take place in both a river and an ocean.
The whole biological clock is initiated by eggs’ spawning and incubation, with their further transformation into whitebaits. The emergence is followed by freshwater rearing, which leads to the estuary of a river. Thereafter, in order to supply themselves with food, fish tend to migrate to bigger rearing areas. As soon as they reach an open ocean, another phase of movement begins, which results in developing and maturating of a salmon. The moment the fish are grown enough, they are in need of finding a location for spawning, which can be provided by returning to the river through as estuary that has been recently passed by. Finally, adult fish get prepared for incubation to start a new life cycle.
