The diagram illustrates how to manufacture sugar from sugar cane
Overall, there are three main steps of producing sugar, beginning with the process of growing sugar canes on the farm and ending with drying and cooling sugar.
At the first step of the process, sugar canes are grown by farmers during 12 to 18 months. Then, people could harvest sugar canes by two methods which are by hand or by the machine. Following this, farmers use a crusher to squeeze juice from sugar canes which are removed the cover before that. The process continues with purifying juice by a limestone filter which looks like a funnel.
At the next step of the process, juice is poured into a pot and heated under a fire to evaporate. This step turns juice into syrup which later is centrifuged to separate crystal from syrup. Then, sugar is dried and cooled by a machine, which is also the final step of producing sugar.
