On a high level, the whole process can be divided into two stages; the making of methane gas for industrial use, and the conversion of gas to electricity for home use.
Firstly, collection of compost requires human intervention, where leaves, food and organic waste needs to be gathered for fermentation in a steel tank in combination with a quarter level of water. The methane gas produced rises up and gets stored, moving slowly to a compressor, via thick pipes. As the name suggests, the output of this machine is compressed gas.
Two industry level machines take gas in for further processing. The gas is converted into mechanical energy followed by electrical energy by the combustion engine and generator, respectively. Housing societies can then make use of this environment friendly made electricity from its place of storage, a grid-station level battery.
