The given diagram illustrates the steps involved in the production of cement and also how concrete is obtained from cement. Overall, it can be seen that there are 5 major steps for the cement production while making concrete is a matter of mixing 3 types of raw material with water and pouring them into a mixer apparatus.
Looking at the details, limestone and clay are combined and crushed until a powder is obtained. Next, the powder gets into a mixer and then heated by a source while being rotated in a narrow tube. After spreading the mixture onto a grinder for further crushing, the cement resulted is then wrapped into bags and ready for the next industrial use.
Regarding the concrete production, there are 3 varieties of raw stuff that are needed in different proportions. Among them, gravel which is comprised of small stones makes up half the whole quantity, while just a quarter of the mixture is represented by sand. Although cement and water are added in small percentages (15% and 10% respectively), they are compulsory components of making concrete. Finally, by spilling all these parts into a mixer, concrete is the outcome of the process.
