The diagram illustrates the different stages in the life of a honey bee.
The given diagram details the various stages in the life cycle of a honeybee.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the entire cycle consists of six phases, starting with the laying of eggs by the female bee, undergoing different growing stages before getting fully matured to be ready to repeat the cycle. The whole cycle is about 34 to 36 days long.
According to the given illustration, to begin with, the adult female starts the process by laying nearly one to two eggs, which usually happens after every three days. After that, it takes almost 9 to 10 days for the eggs to hatch into a newly born bee. From here, the newly hatched bee follows a few developmental stages, which moves successively for 5 days, 7 days, and 9 days.
During the growing phase, the immature insect grows 3 times bigger as compared to the previous stage, after which it emerges into a young adult. Moving on, it takes exactly 4 days for a young adult to transform into a mature female. Further, followed by all these stages, a cycle completes prior to repeating once again.
