The picture demonstrates a complete honeybees’ growth cycle from laying eggs to turning mature. We can see that there are about 6 steps for a honeybee egg becoming a mature bee. Respectively, the steps can be seen as three main stages—the egg period, the moults period and the merging period.
Normally, honeybee eggs need 34 to 36 days to hatch, moult and grow to a bee. At the first stage, mother honeybees would lay 1 to 2 eggs every other two days. It takes 9 to 10 days for the eggs to stay in the beehive then hatch to baby honeybees.
Next, the small bees will start to moults three times, in 5 days, 7 days and 9 days. Every time they get rid of their old skin, they become bigger. After 4 days emerging as young adults, honeybees become completely grownup and the female ones are ready to lay eggs.
