The pie chart compares the percentage of using four different types of transport in Edmonton and the table shows five purposes for using the car in the City. Overall, cars are the most popular in the city. Also, the main reason to use cars is working commute.
Looking the pie chart first, most of the people commute by cars, at 45%. The second most popular form of transport is Light Rail Transit, at 35%. However, the minor proportion of people in the city, with 10%, say that they use bus and taxi in most of the time.
Turning to the table, it shows that 55% of people need to go to work by car. It is clear that commuting to work is the main reason to use cars. 40% and 45% of people use cars for taking children to school and business purposes, respectively. On the other hand, drivers mention that they like to use cars to go shopping or to enjoy leisure activities, at 15% for both purposes.
