The diagrams below show how a park in a city changed over time.
The diagrams give information on the changes of a park in a city in the past and the present.
Overall, the park underwent some major alterations including the addition of other recreational areas and the elimination of existing features.
In the past, the park had 2 major on-land areas, separated by a footpath encircling the park. In one area facing the houses across the footpath, there was a variety of trees planted, whereas, in the other area, people then could spend some time in a cafe while looking out to a boating lake with flower beds nearby as decorations.
At the present time, the overall layout of the park remains the same but with the newly added function to the existing footpath as people now could also use it as a cycle path. The lake now has been eliminated with the cafe being moved to the other area where trees were once abundant. In place of the lake, a swimming pool was installed with 2 tennis courts on one side and trees on the other. The area for trees was diminished to save some space for benches and a barbecue area.
