The diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagrams illustrate the evolution progress of a salmon from the egg to an adult salmon. During its life, a salmon experiences three different stages which are “fry”, “smolt”, and “adult salmon” in three different areas of water.

To begin with, a salmon egg which is laid in the upper river opens to a fry which is 3-8 centimeters long. The fry immediately moves to the lower river where contains fresh water that it will spend approximately 4 years until it reaches the size of a smolt.

Secondly, the middle-size salmon called the smolt migrates from freshwater area to the ocean. The smolt can reach to the length of 15 centimeters and it continuingly grows up for 5 years in the environment of saltwater.

The final stage of the salmon progressive process happens when the fish turns to its adult stage and it is in need of having an offspring. The adult salmon makes its final migration in life from the open sea to the upper river where it can lay the eggs into the reeds and its life cycle ends.
