The diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
A glance at the diagrams reveals the life cycle os salmon. In general, the life cycle of these species includes four stages.
In the early life of these species, salmon eggs are laid under the reeds and scattered between small stones on upper rivers where the slow is slowly moving. After approximately five or six months, the egg turns into 'fry' which is three to eight centimeters long.
The 'fry', afterward, swims down waterfalls into lower rivers which have fast flows. There, the species grow up in a period of around four years. After that, form the 'fry', the fish grows up and turns into 'smolt', which is 12-15 cm long.
'Smolts', in the third stage of their life, swim into the open sea and live there for at least five years. There, they fully-grow into 'adult salmons' and their lengths vary between 70 and 76 cm. The 'adult salmons' swim back to upper rivers and lay eggs again. The species, eventually, come to an end of their life cycle.
