The diagrams illustrated the process of building an igloo
The flow-chart represents how Inuit people constructe an igloo.
It can be seen that the igloo is built solely by snow with 13 stages. The process begins at finding hard-packed snow ,and ends at making holes in wall or roof.
Looking at the igloo building process in details, those hard-packed snow are havest into blocks by specialized saw. In the first row, large blocks are used to make the base of the dwelling while the rest blocks' edges are cut to be smoother. After that, the Inuits will stacked those bricks up into the half-sphere shape with a last opening on top. Before filling the hexagon space by a snow block which is a bit larger than the hole, the entrance is created by digging a large hole under the wall.
After finishing putting blocks, the eighth stage in the process shows that to cement all the crevices on the wall, snow is shovelled and packed by hand in both external and internal the igloo. Finally, before the process finishes by making some holes for ventilation, 4 big snow blocks are used to cover the entrance way
