Given are the two maps contrasting the difference in the place of the facilities in the student shared room during a period of 5 years to date.
It is perceptible that the space has experienced drastic modifications, especially in the center with the appearance of some new facilities compared to 5 years ago.
Previously, the common room was laid out in a spanking simple way. The entrance on the west side of the map could lead to a space which was occupied by four round tables arranged in the middle of the room. On the bottom right hand corner, there was a small cabinet to store some common items, in the interim, the north sector was divided into 6 separated zones where a sink, a cupboard, 2 consecutive benches, a microwave and a refrigerator were arranged from west to east respectively.
Hitherto, this room has had prominent modifications in the central area. The two round tables have been replaced by an 8-person long table opposite the cupboard and a bench for users to use laptops at the bottom of the room. Moving to the northern area, the bench has been replaced by another microwave. What is even more striking is the appearance of a drinks machine on the right hand side of the room alongside the television and 3 armchairs, in the original location of the cabinet, to facilitate students in watching TV.
