The given bar graph depicts information about the use of travelling vehicles by European citizens in three distinct years; 1950 to 1970 and 1990. The data is calibrated in percentum, which is clearly and coherently represented.
At a glance, a drastic increase in use of cars was observed, whereas travelling by foot decreased in the given data.
It is observed from graph, the travelling by foot was most popular mode of travelling in 1950. About 38% people used to travel by foot in year of 1950, which droped down in upcoming years of 1970 and 1990 to 19% and 5% respectively. Bikes were second most common means of transportation, that is, about 28% citizens used it in 1950, which falled to 25%, and then declined to 5%; which was lowest.
Furthermore, the cars were observed to the least used transportation medium in 1950; which showed upsurge of 25% qnd 39% usage in the years of 1970 and 1990 respectively. Moreover, the buses does not show much variation in its employment. The proportion was about 18% in 1950, which boosted to 26% by the year of 1970. A sharp decline was observed 16% in 1990.
