The first pie chart gives information about the usage of energy in a middle-class Australian household. The second one illustrates the green house gases emissions discharged from the used energy.
Overall, the amount of emissions in almost corresponding with the types of energy use and the water heating accounts for the highest proportion in the second chart.
As is observed, while the amount of energy utilized for heating accounts for the highest percentage (42%), it only discharges 15% of gas emissions. By contrast, the figures for water heating are quiet similar, 30% energy use corresponding with 32% of emissions. Australian citizens spend 15% of energy for other appliances, however, they generate nearly double amount of gas emissions, at 28%.
Likewise, the figure for refrigeration is 7%, which is as half as the its greenhouse gas amount. The lightning and cooling use 4% and 2% of energy respectively and consequently, they release an amount of gas emissions which contributes 8% and 3% respectively
