Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The first pie chart depicts how energy is consumed to run a standard Australian household and the second pie chart delineates the deleterious impact of the energy consumption on greenhouse gas emission.
Overall, in Australia, most of the energy is consumed for heating purpose, whereas cooling takes the least amount of energy. Energy, which is used for heating water, is the primary reason for causing emission of detrimental greenhouse gas and it is followed by the energy consumption by other appliances.
While 42 percent of the total energy is utilized to heat the household, placing it at the pinnacle on the list, water heating alone consumed 30 percent of energy, making it the second most contributors. In contrast, cooing of household stands at the nadir on the list, with only 2 percent of the total energy absorption.
Water heating is the topmost reason for environmental damage, with 32 percent green-house gas emission rate. While the most energy is consumed to heat household, it contributes much less in gas emission. Although use of refrigeration consumes only 7 percent energy, it resulted havoc on the environment, contributing double in percentage when it comes to the green-house gas emission.
