The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. The second chart shows the greenhouse gas emissions which result from this energy use. Summarise this information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given two pie chart represents the information about
the energy consumption of Australian
home and emission of greenhouse gas from using the energy.
Overall, it can be seen that Australian uses almost half energy in heating,
Whereas, water heating causes the emission of greenhouse gas are significantly higher than others.
Heating makes up the largest proportion of household energy consumption of approximately 42%. While its effect on greenhouse gas emission is only 14 %. Heating water requires as much as 30 percent of the total energy expenditure, which has almost a similar effect on air pollution in the form of harmful gas emissions.
Refrigeration, cooling, and lighting energy use are almost negligible at 7%, @%, and 4% respectively. Other appliances
consumes around 15% of the energy in the house.
As compared to the emission of greenhouse gas from the energy, Water heating
causes more emission of gas is significantly higher of around 32% which is highest among others. Heating was the most energy consumption but it releases only 15% of gas. Other appliances, lighting, and refrigeration energy use cause almost double the amount of gas emission.
However, Cooling energy and gas emission has a difference of only 1% which is negligible.
