The two given pie charts give information about the use of energy in Australian household energy. While the first chart describes how the energy is used, the second one illustrates the greenhouse gas emission result from this energy use.
Overall, we can see the significant trade that heating is the major of energy consumption while water heating is the main cause of greenhouse gas emission. Cooling, on the other hand, contains the lowest percentage in both household energy use and household greenhouse gas emission.
To begin with, cooling only takes up to 2% of the energy use while 42% of Australian household energy use comes from heating. However, those heating does not include water heating since water heating requires up to 30% of energy use. On the third rank is other appliances with 15%. Refrigeration, lighting, and cooling only take the trivial part of 7% or lower.
As for Australian greenhouse gas emissions, water heating ranks first with 32%. The second place belongs to other appliances with 28%. Refrigeration and heating share third place here with only 1% differences. Lighting and cooling, together, take the minimum amount of 8% and 3% respectively.
