The first chart below shows the results of a survey which sampled a cross-section of 100,000 people asking if they traveled abroad and why they traveled for the period 1994-98.
The second chart shows their destinations over the same period.
The chart illustrated a questionnaire of 100000 visitors abroad for the purpose of travels of UK inhabitants during 5 years. The second bar chart compared how many visitors traveled to 3 different countries during the identical time. Overall, most of the people who travelers intended to holiday had been raising whole period, moreover, commuters to abroad were increasing year by year except in 1995 while the huge amount of passengers passed to Western Europe.
About table, initially, in 1994, totally 22072 UK passengers visited abroad especially more than half of them was vacationer (15246). Nevertheless, bit amount of passengers decreased in 1995 (entirely 21610) except for business purposes. Furthermore, travelers abroad had been raising until the end of the period reached 28828 and guests who had purposes of the holiday were still a high amount.
By bar chart, 18000 travelers passed to Western Europe while a tiny amount of commuters passed to North America and other areas (about 1000 and 2000 respectively) in 1994. However, passengers who went to Western Europe had dwindled nearly by 1000 and there was no change in the other two areas in next year. Additionally, passengers had been growing almost by 6000 to Western Europe and each rose by 1000 to North America and other areas at the end of the period.
