It can be seen that there are 6 main stages in the process of recycling aluminium cans, from collecting used cans on a daily basis to reusing them in the market.
At the first stage of the aluminium cans recycling process, used tins are collected from classification dustbins. In the next stage, the cans are taken to factories where they pass through 4 different steps including being cleaned, stored, shredded and compressed. The process continues with the heating stage by brazier at a constant temperature. After that, the aluminium is rolled on the squeezers to become sheets of aluminium with a thickness of 2.5 mm and 6 mm. At the following step, new cans are made and provided for companies producing sort recycled and reused is 74% on an annual basis in the UK.
