This report derives from two graphs illustrating the duration of in-house training courses in relation to types as well as the proportion of managers and secretaries view on these various programs.
Generally speaking, technical, and career development courses accounted for the major training hours. By contrast, the most managers and secretaries see these programs as an important part of jobs.
Looking into the pie chart, Half of the total program time was invested in technical courses followed by career development that was responsible for nearly a quarter of the sub-total. Health and safety had the least duration while the timing utilized on inter-personal skills was almost double of it with 5 and 10 respectively.
In the case of the bar diagram, the greatest percentage of secretaries and managers rated these programs as an essential part of employment with around 84% and 78% respectively. Moreover, about 50% managers believe these are good for net working whereas the proportion of secretaries with the same idea was more or less 42%. The number of those who regard the courses as a waste of time was never as high as 12%.
