The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane.
This report derives from the presented pictorial demonstrating the production process of sugar utilizing sugar cane as principal raw material.
Generally speaking, The generation of sugar is a seven-steps process which starts with the farming of sugar canes and ends with drying and freezing sugar before consumption.
At first, it takes about 12 to 18 months to grow sugar canes prior to reaping them for further usage. However, the harvesting of these plants can be done by means of tractors or manually by hand. Next, the produced canes are crushed in a machine with two rotating wheels to squeeze the juice out of them. This liquid is filtered by a limestone filter in order to purify and remove harmful residuals.
A glance at the graph also reveals that, after purification of sugar cane juice, it is boiled at a very high temperature therefore, the liquid evaporates and juice becomes syrup. This manufactured syrup is passed through a centrifuge which separates the sugar crystals from the syrup. In the final step, the crystals are dried and cooled in an steel jar before consumption.
